RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop web-based database and software applications in support of Progeny’s innovative, high quality engineering solutions in an agile environment 
• Comply with existing, but flexible, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, defined processes, and control mechanisms to ensure configuration control and high-quality product development. 
• Preparation of documentation to support installation, configuration and integration of software including Requirements, Use Cases, Solution Design, etc. 
• Support of Integration, Testing, and Fleet Support Teams as related to the software. 
• Responsible to support all requests for assistance in a timely manner.

  REQUIREMENTS

• Strong skills in either Oracle or SQL Server databases.  
• Experience in the design and development of database and web-based software applications using multiple technologies including, but not limited to .NET languages, T-SQL, JAVA, J2EE, HTML, Web Services, JavaScript and XML languages.
• Experience with database replication, performance tuning, and data analysis are desired.
• Familiarity with software engineering disciplines from requirements development to validation. 
• Detail-Oriented about coding, documentation and visual/interface design standards. 
• Strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical problem-solving and decision-skills. 
• Demonstrated ability to provide effective solutions to software design and development challenges. 
• Ability to work well under pressure and be able to manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously. 
• Experience with Software Versioning Control solutions (i.e., Source Gear Vault, MS SourceSafe). 
• Navy experience a plus.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

•  B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related technical field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience.) 
• 3-10 years experience

Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
