About the Position:

The Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (CSE) is currently looking for a Marketing / Communications Intern.  This is an opportunity to be part of one of the world’s leading research organizations and you'll be a key member of a dynamic team that shares a commitment to engineering excellence, combined with an excitement about sustainable energy technology. Previous Fraunhofer CSE interns have gone on to continue their studies at leading universities and/or have secured jobs in their fields.

Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:

• Will work on the timely creation and updating of marketing materials as a member of the Marketing and Communications team, in close collaboration with our research groups.
• Will leverage marketing materials and major press releases to help CSE attract partners, clients, and supporters.
• Will help enhance and improve effectiveness of social media presence with content creation and strategy for platforms such as Twitter, CSE and partner blogs, YouTube, and other outlets.
• Will assist in trade show and other event preparation.
• Will learn best practices in marketing and communications from experienced staff. 

Required Experience and Education:

• Undergraduate degree, with excellent academic record in Marketing, Communications, Business, Literature, Journalism, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or related field of study.Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, including the ability to translate technical issues into easily understandable content.
• Previous communications work/internship experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of and passion for sustainable energy technologies.
• Demonstrated high level of initiative and creativity.
