Job Description

Prison Fellowship (PF) is seeking an Angel Tree Program Specialist in the Great Lakes Region (MI, IN, KY). In this exciting role you will engage, develop and serve Angel Tree (AT) churches, chaplains, caregivers and volunteers to ensure delivery of quality ministry to “angels” and their families as part of PF’s Angel Tree year round program. Serve as a key contact to equip churches, chaplains and other PFM constituents with available AT resources. Support ongoing implementation and operation that facilitates Church’s ministry. Includes but is not limited to: communicating with stakeholders to provide tools and resources; enabling matching of church-based volunteers with children of incarcerated parents; partnering non-church entities with church partners to serve children, educating and equipping chaplains to support inmate registration, building ministry relationships; educating, training and equipping AT specific volunteers; assisting with development of program materials, training and ongoing program enhancement; event coordination; and calling/fax/email campaigns. 


We are seeking candidates located in Michigan, Indiana or Kentucky

Skills/Requirements
  • 3-4 years in program support, administrative support or other relevant area.
  • Experience in recruiting, coordinating and training volunteers.
  • Ability to provide support from home-based office to remote staff and volunteer leaders.
  • Prefer: Coursework in business, communications or other relevant area.
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision; highly motivated self-starter.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office. Ability to learn in-house database.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-racially, cross-culturally, and cross-denominationally.
  • 15% travel - requires valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Satisfactory criminal background and credit check (PF does not discriminate against people with a criminal history).
