Job Description
Position Summary
This position involves specialized work in developing and maintaining financial data at Midwest Manufacturing. Work involves preparation, development and administration of: Audits, Accounts Payable, Financial Reports, Inter company reports, Information Flow, Inventory, Production reports, and compensation calculations.
Primary Responsibilities
Audit various financial documents, including but not limited to:
- Vendor payments
- Unpaid invoice lists
- Accounts payable
- Inventory on hand
- Inventory value
- Payroll
- Compensation calculations
Prepare accurate reports for accounting and plant management, including but not limited to reports regarding:
- Financial reports related to profit and loss
- Production reports for Management
- Month end inventory
- Product and raw material costs
- Inter-company paperwork
- Employment agreements
- Compensation calculations
Improve information flow and reduce amount of plant and office paperwork
Assist Controllers and Management in maintaining accurate inventory
Additional Responsibilities
Any additional accounting-related functions or special reporting projects as assigned by the Division Controller or Accounting Manager
Skills/Requirements
Position Requirements
- Be within three semesters of graduation, pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Working kowledge of modern accounting methods and techniques
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Excel, Access, Word, Outlook
- Knowledge of current accounting systems, including Mapics and WDS
- Good data entry skills
- Able to write and speak clearly and accurately
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Midwest Manufacturing managers.
